Essential oils have been known for centuries to promote beauty and well-being – they are known for their therapeutic properties and are often used for relaxation and meditation. Our essential oils are 100% pure aroma oils extracted from plants, herbs, berries and flowers. Each has a unique effect with physical, mental and spiritual benefits.

The oils increase mental well-being and help to provide a harmonious balance between body and soul. The Greek and Roman cultures used perfumes and aromatic baths. The uses of essential oils are many and versatile. The oils can be used for meditation, healing, massage and aromatherapy. Remember that essential oils are always used by the drop as they are very concentrated and must never be used directly on the skin without being mixed or diluted. A small household tip: for a fragrant lavatory, you can apply a few drops of your favourite oil onto the toilet paper’s inner cardboard roll.

How the different scents affect us

• Jasmine – soothing, relaxing, antidepressant, sensual and romantic (warm, rich, sensual and floral)
• The oil has a rejuvenating effect on dry, wrinkled or ageing skin.
• Lavender – soothing, strengthening
• The oil can relieve coughs, colds, flu, hay fever and asthma. Good for sleep problems, tension, headaches, migraines and has a calming effect. Relieve sunburn, burns, eczema and insect bites.
• Lemon grass/elephant grass or citronella – refreshing, uplifting
• The oil works very well against headaches, fatigue and depressive feelings. Suitable as an oil against athlete’s foot. Effective as an insect repellent aroma, either in an aroma lamp or in spray form.
• Rose – pain reliever, strengthens memory, sensual (not erotic), skin regenerating.
• The oil strengthens blood circulation, with anti-inflammatory and wound and scar healing properties.
• Peppermint – refreshing, calming, improves concentration and learning ability.
• The oil works well against headaches, toothaches, and certain types of migraines. Strengthens the digestive system. Effective as an expectorant for colds and flu. Antipyretic.
• Tea tree – cleanses body and soul, uplifting.
• The oil strengthens blood circulation, relieves pain, heals wounds, inhibits fungal toxins, tightens the skin, and stimulates the immune system.
• Orange – refreshing, uplifting.
• The oil has a highly cleansing effect on the skin, energizing and refreshing effect, effective for stimulating blood circulation, against impurities, and as an expectorant for colds and flu.
