Children love to be active. It's nice how children so naturally want to move their bodies. Once in a while, we adults have to remind ourselves to play along, too. It is healthy for both body and soul.

Spending time outside is especially a great opportunity for adults to play along with their children. There is more space, tools, and gadgets for outdoor play, so adults can be entertained too. Fun outdoor activities include croquet, beach tennis, football, and basketball.

Scooters and skateboards have become popular with both children and adults. It's no longer just geeks and enthusiasts who like to try all different kinds of tricks. Many workplaces use scooters for employees who live far from public transportation, and in many families, scooters and skateboards are part of the daily play and transportation.

Scooters for children of all ages

Children learn to meet many challenges through play and learn new skills by trying things repeatedly. This is where the scooter can be a brilliant solution - while speeding down the sidewalk and practising motor skills and balance.

For very small children, we have three-wheeled scooters. The three wheels provide extra support for balance, which can be a great aid when there is a lot to learn at once. Their balance can gradually improve, and when the third wheel becomes a hindrance more than it helps, it's time for a scooter with only two wheels. Then it is all about being cool and wild. Scooters are an excellent means of transport and great for practising tricks and racing with friends.

When you buy scooters for your children, it is helpful to consider what stage the children are at in their motor development and what support they require. Consider what features the scooter should have and the purpose it is being used for. Is it primarily for tricks or transport? A trick scooter typically gets more heavy wear and must be more durable to last a long time. If the purpose is primarily for transportation, for example, to and from school, consider a scooter with large wheels. These have a better grip on the road and can go at higher speeds more safely.

Last but not least: be sure to remember a helmet. Children may often fall when learning to ride a scooter or trying different tricks. There can be a considerable impact if they fall from a speeding scooter.
